Milk Thistle protects the liver! Milk Thistle contains silymarin, flavonoids, and amino acids. Silymarin protects the liver from the effects of toxic compounds such as ethanol and supports liver regeneration.
- Reduction of pain associated with liver disorders
- Restoration of damaged liver tissue
- Support in eliminating gallbladder stones
- Strengthening liver function during viral illnesses
- Liver regeneration after drug use, chemotherapy, or poisoning treatment
- Protection against liver cirrhosis following alcohol-related damage
Milk Thistle seed extract (Silybum marianum), gelatin (capsule).
Directions for Use:
Take during or immediately after meals for better absorption, 1 capsule 2–3 times daily. For best results, avoid unhealthy foods, especially trans fats.
Take in the morning or early afternoon with plenty of water. Taking it at night is not recommended to avoid a diuretic effect.
Course duration is usually 1–2 months. It is recommended to consult a physician before prolonged or continuous use.
Contraindications: Individual intolerance, pregnancy.
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. During exacerbations of cholecystitis and gallstone disease, it should be noted that Milk Thistle contains significant amounts of phosphorus and calcium. Excess calcium may lead to calcification of heart valves and, consequently, serious disorders of the cardiovascular system.
In addition, phosphorus and calcium may negatively affect the respiratory system; therefore, frequent use of Milk Thistle may provoke shortness of breath. Its use is strictly prohibited for individuals suffering from chronic asthma. This plant is also contraindicated in cases of mental disorders, depression, and epilepsy.
Storage Conditions: Store tightly closed at room temperature and protect from direct sunlight.
Additional Benefits of Milk Thistle
Allergic conditions. Milk Thistle may help reduce allergic reactions because its seeds support the liver's natural detoxification processes.
Dermatological conditions. Skin disorders are often associated with impaired liver function. When the liver cannot effectively perform its functions, this is often reflected in the condition of the skin. The body attempts to eliminate toxins through the skin, which can result in problems such as acne and allergic rashes.
