Hirsutism
Hirsutism is the growth of coarse and dark (terminal) hair on a woman's body where, as a rule, hair does not grow - primarily on the face, chest and abdomen;
It belongs to the number of diseases of the endocrine system, during which the concentration of male sex hormones in the female body increases rapidly. For women, as a rule, the minimum level of androgens is characteristic, but this figure can change throughout life. An excess of androgens in a woman's body helps to stimulate hair follicles, which, in turn, leads to excess hair.
Women diagnosed with hirsutism complain of an intense rate of hair loss. Hair strands are similar to the hair that grows in the armpit and pubic area.
